Caleb, EthnieMay and myself (6 1/2 months pregnant with Zeb) set off last Sunday on a 17 hour drive to Park City, Utah. A good friend, Scott Weaver, had another good friend who was trying to give away his ski-in/ski-out condo and Scott told offered it to us last Friday - we said 'sure!' and set out for out uber impromptu trip.
We set out on Sunday night at 9pm for what we thought would be a 13 hour drive, we clocked 17 hours and 900 miles with 3 snow storms! EthnieMay is a super baby when it comes to travel and she basically slept or sang for us the whole time.
We arrived in Park City on Monday and just slept and recouped. Tuesday was a beautiful spring skiing day. We got burnt skiing got to hot tub while it started to snow with EthnieMay. She loves the hot tub and is generally confused and excited about the snow falling on her face as she tries to float in the hot tub. Today was a crazy day of blizzard like conditions. It snowed and is snowing between 10-20 inches but should be done by the morning. We skied while the snow fell hard around us and it was a blast to be in true fresh powder. Our snow angel pictures are below and were made when we got stuck on a green run going through the trees. Too much fresh snow is not always good for movement!
We miss Seattle but have loved being adventurous at every chance we get. Yea for God's blessing on Caleb's working from home.
Caleb and Charlotte ready to ski - in the sun!
And another... on the chairlift for Spring Skiing, day 1.
Just Charlotte - excited to be in Utah!
Look at the view! Yes, that's all Ski terrain - and only 1/3 of the mountain!
Here's another perspective on size of skiing terrain in Utah... this is just one bowl of seven, and in Washington they'd call that an entire Ski Resort!

This is the green circle trail we got stuck on in the powder, inspiring the need to make snow angels...

And here is Charlotte's snow angel - a perfect one if we may say so.
